One of the issues facing cybersecurity is that although there are often solutions or research areas relavent to the problems being faced the commercialization of those techniques are not always available. At BCI we want to help make sure research and new technologies developed in academia and otherwise are implemented commercially and are able to improve security in the ways intended.
Technology transfer, or the adoption of researched technology by the enterprise, held a special place with Rebecca Bace. In conversation she was not shy in sharing her frustration and concern over the alarming amount of researched technology that never saw the light of day.
The Bace Cybersecurity Institute seeks to remedy this by building stronger connections among academia, government, and the private sector to foster research and adoption of groundbreaking and innovative technologies that can truly disrupt the way we approach cybersecurity today. We are looking for partners and commercial organization that would like to help.
